I was diagnosed with mono this morning... I've had symptoms for almost a month now. The first doctor I went to said that it was bad tonsillitis, but after being prescribed penicillin, and taking that for about 5 days with my symptoms not any better (in fact they got worse)... I decided to go to another doctor. She ordered blood tests and they came back positive for mono. How long do I have to wait before I can kiss my boyfriend? Some people say 2-4 weeks, and others say it can be up to 6 months AFTER symptoms go away. I don't want to infect him but it will be hard for the two of us not to spend time together, especially because we're usually so intimate.

What kind of domestic bird was this?

My husband and I saw a bird in a pet store years ago and are trying to remember what breed it may have been. The bird was about the size of a parakeet, a bit larger than a lovebird. It was almost all bright yellow and I'm pretty sure it had a bright red beak but I don't think it was a hooked beak like a parrot has, it was a small, straight, short beak. I don't' think there were feathers standing on end on it's head like a cockateel....it did amazing tricks in the cage so it must have been quite intelligent. It made a nice sound, not an ear blasting squak like my mothers parrot makes.

Some people find me to be a bit prejudice for only desiring to date and get intimate with ladies of my own ethnic origin and it is not due to the fact that I have any disrespect towards other types of girls. I like them as people and treat them with the same level of respect and regard as I would with any other individual, I'm just not physically attracted to them and I personally do not view this as prejudice. Although some people suggest that I am narrowing my options, I also know what my desires are and I believe that it is important to be honest about them. If I didn't have some selection in my process, then why would my date/partner have to be female in the first place. Are my thoughts and behavior acceptable, or do I need to open up a little bit?
