Do women sometimes get fearful when men approach them?

I can't imagine a stronger creature approaching me and wanting to be intimate with it. Do you women ever think is the guy coming over because he likes you or is he coming over to hurt you. Or he might want directions. Do you ever give a second thought or do you just assume he wants to flirt with you?
