Birds slammed into the window, now they're just sitting there, ?

so I heard some pounding on the window and it turns out there's two birds that slammed into it. They're both alive but one won't move at all (both are standing up with their beaks open) and the other is just standing lookin around. .... I'm confused, are they dying? and what would make em crash into the window together like that?
