Portugal's, portuguese community and Cam�e's day!?

Today, June 10th, it�s Portugal's, portuguese community and Cam�es's day, and i decided to see what will be done in some other countries. In my search i found some videos about last year in San Jose, California, however i was totally surprised when i saw it. Besides the portuguese festivities, there were brazilian shows, cape verdian dances, etc. I mean, it�s Portugal's day, shouldn't�t they just invite portuguese traditional folk? If there are anyone there that does not know portuguese culture will assume that portuguese people dances samba and like to eat Calulu. I just can't agree with this. Do you think i am overreacting?
